Artwork Guidelines and Templates

Help is at hand if you need it

Our experienced team within our full reprographics facility are on hand to provide you with support for your artwork or any questions.

Diguru use the latest software including Adobe Creative Cloud which means we can handle various file formats such as PDF, EPS, AI, JPG, TIFF image files and many more. To make sure we offer you a fast and efficient turnaround we prefer PDF files as all fonts and images should be embedded within the document.

We have a few basic guidelines to help you:

  • All artwork to be set up as CMYK. Use ICC profile coated FOGRA 39 use PDF/x-1a.
  • All files should include a minimum of 3mm bleed.
  • Include crop marks, cutter and spot UV guides (ideally as spot colours).
  • All fonts to be embedded or if in doubt outlined.
  • Pictures need to be 300dpi at print size.
  • Solid areas of black, should be set to 30/20/20/100 (CMYK Values), and black text should always be 100% black.
  • If coloured text is made from a combination of CMYK colours, we would advise not to use a font that is too small or too light.

Artwork guidelines

Trim area.
This is the physical size.

Bleed area is 3mm all round each edge.
Your artwork should extend out beyond the trim area to ensure there’s no white edges.

Safe area is 3mm within trim.
Ensure ‘live’ matter (IE text and logos) are inside the safe area to ensure they are not cut off.
