The UK’s leading environmental marketing initiative Carbon Capture® programme mitigates the CO2 emissions from the production and distribution of paper and materials, and directly support the work of the Woodland Trust – 100% of the money raised goes directly to the Woodland Trust to plant native woodland in the UK.
Forest Carbon leads the way in UK woodland creation for carbon capture. Through the planting of over 13 million new trees since 2006, our partners’ projects are removing nearly 3 million tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere, as well as providing a host of other benefits to society, including flood mitigation, enhanced biodiversity and increased public access.
Over the past 15 years, Forest Carbon has supported the creation of 220 new woodlands, planting10.3 million trees, which will sequester 2.1 million tonnes of CO2e over the project lifecycle.
Waterless printing eliminates the need for water or other chemicals in the printing process by using a special printing plate that has only two surface properties: ink-resistant and ink-attractive. By working with only one fluid—ink—as opposed to two fundamentally different fluids—ink and water—the printing process is greatly simplified and some very unique benefits can be realized. Waterless runs on virtually any offset press but requires a special waterless plate, waterless ink, and a means of cooling to control temperature on press.
World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation charity that protects the world’s most biologically significant and threatened habitats acre by acre.
Through a network of partner organisations around the world, WLT funds the creation of reserves and provides permanent protection for habitats and wildlife. Partnerships are developed with established and highly respected local organisations who engage support and commitment among the local community.
Products, services and packaging are certified for reduced environmental impact. ECOLOGO Certifications are voluntary, multiattribute, life cycle-based environmental certifications that indicate a product has undergone rigorous scientific testing, exhaustive auditing or both, to prove its compliance with stringent, third-party, environmental performance standards.
These standards set metrics for a wide variety of criteria in some or all of the following categories: materials, energy, manufacturing and operations, health and environment, product performance and use, and product stewardship and innovation.
This is an international energy saving program for office equipment. Its logo is awarded to products that meet the energy-saving standards.
The Greenguard Gold Certification Standard includes health-based criteria for additional chemicals and also requires lower total volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions levels to ensure that products are acceptable for use in environments such as schools and health care facilities. In addition to limiting emissions of more than 360 VOCs and total chemical emissions, GREENGUARD Gold Certified products must also comply with requirements of the state of California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Standard Method for the Testing and Evaluation of Volatile Organic Chemical Emissions from Indoor Sources Using Environmental Chambers,(also known as California Section 01350). Office furniture products that are Greenguard Gold Certified are also compliant with the BIFMA X7.1 standard .
EPEAT is an environmental rating for electronic products that is managed and administered by the Green Electronics Council (a non-profit organization). The environmental criteria underlying the EPEAT system are based on the full product lifecycle, from design and production to energy use and recycling. EPEAT criteria consist of required and optional ones; products are ranked Gold, Silver, or Bronze depending on the level of conformity with the optional criteria. In December 2017, nine models including MFC-L2750DWXL became the first laser products to be registered as Silver products.
This eco-label is issued by the Japan Environment Association. It is awarded to products that minimize environmental load and aid environmental protection across their entire life cycle (from production to disposal).
PVC-FREE Banners and signage
We offer a PVC-free material that is a ground-breaking replacement to traditional PVC. Ideal for outdoor banners, pull-up banners and signage.
The material has the same finish and strength as PVC, but importantly is environmentally responsible.
The material is designed with end-of-life disposal in mind with reduced effects to health or the environment. It can be fully recycled through a dedicated recycling programme, or it can be safely incinerated. Any emissions are hundreds of times lower than that of PVC banner, and well below the minimum safety levels issued by EU guidelines.
The material also weighs up to 50% less than PVC, making it easy to handle and install. This also reduces carbon emissions during transportation.
*Incinerated safely without harmful emissions
